My therapeutic style is compassion focused; we could all benefit from being a little kinder to ourselves. My goal is for you to build healthier coping tools, emotional resilience and start living the life you want to live.
My area of expertise in is CBT. This type of therapy, looks at your thoughts, emotions, behaviours and physical sensations and together we will look to make sense of them. It is a collaborative approach, meaning we’ll work together to unpick, explore and resolve problems. I take a client centered approach, incorporating different therapeutic styles.
Beginning a therapy journey can be a daunting experience. It is really important that you feel safe and comfortable. The first few sessions are about getting to know each other, building trust and having a shared understanding of the problem. We can then focus on how to tackle the specific problem you are struggling with.
