Simcoe Addiction Mental Health - Program Overview
Simcoe Addiction and Mental Health is a private and accredited residential addiction treatment centre located in Cookstown, just minutes off Hwy 400. We offer evidence based, holistic treatment with a simultaneous focus on addiction and mental health for complete healing. Through our comprehensive approach to recovery, we work alongside you to develop a unique treatment plan catered to your specific needs. During our intensive and personalized treatment programs, clients will participate in daily therapeutic group sessions, 4 individual therapy sessions/week with a Master's level registered therapist, Psychiatric assessment & follow up, detox and free lifetime aftercare. Your health and well-being are of the utmost importance to us. Staying at SAMH will give you the ability to focus on your recovery. We provide you with the steps needed to ensure you come away with a healthy mind, body, and soul. Holistic Wellness & Nutrition
An essential part of SAMH's treatment program is our Wellness curriculum, which helps foster an optimal state of wellbeing through holistic therapies and physical fitness. These wellness activities assists our clients in developing mental and physical strength as well as coping skills for a manageable future. When our clients are given the right tools to grow, it has a positive effect on other areas of their lives and increases the chances of on-going recovery. Activities consist of swimming (indoor pool), physical fitness, yoga, massage therapy, mindfulness meditation, basketball, tennis, and art therapy. Diet and nutrition are an essential aspect of our program, as such, we offer three nutritional meals per day featuring fresh, local and organic ingredients. We also accommodate allergies and food restrictions. Aftercare and Family Support
The key to success for mental health and addiction treatment lies not just in the effectiveness of your primary treatment program, but also in the ongoing care and support that are available post-treatment. SAMH offers free lifetime structured weekly aftercare support to provide you with the guidance you need to overcome your obstacles. Our aftercare program is designed to support clients as they integrate back into their normal lives, or for as long as they need. As part of your loved ones treatment, families will receive Family Integration therapy sessions and will be invited to attend a monthly skills-based workshop.
