Welcome! I’m Dr. Gina Di Giulio, Clinical Psychologist and Founder of PathWell Counselling. I started PathWell because I wanted to create a centre that offered people quick access to the full range of mental health services that they may need. We are a team of psychologists, psychotherapists, and social workers who are here to provide you with comprehensive care of your mental health needs. We help individuals, couples, families, and children with a variety of different concerns, across the full spectrum of mental health.

The Canadian Treatment Centre for Obsessive Compulsive Disorders (CTCOCD, www.ctcocd.ca) is the national specialized treatment center for OCD and related disorders throughout the lifespan: children, adolescents, and adults. CTCOCD programs are tailored for persons whose symptoms and related difficulties range from very mild and newly developed to very severe and longstanding. Treatment is offered to Canadians from all provinces and regions and to international residents. Highly specialized CTCOCD services to optimize recovery involve office based sessions for most persons. Intensive treatment programs with a team of experts are available for local and out of town patients who need this service (i.e., prolonged sessions several times weekly or daily). Home visits are offered to help where symptoms occur. Therapist assisted home based specialty treatments may be offered as an effective alternative to hospitalization for very severe symptoms. Strategies for generalization of change, resilience, skills, and self-esteem as well as relapse prevention are integral. Phone or skype sessions are possible for individuals in remote regions who cannot access specialized care. Psychiatric and pharmacological consultation and treatment are available if needed with experienced staff psychiatrists affiliated with the CTCOCD. Treatment is not time-limited and services are bilingual.

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is an umbrella term for methods that share a focus on recognizing how thoughts and behaviours impact emotions, experimenting with new behaviours, and changing how we relate to our experiences. During treatment sessions, your therapist provide guidance on techniques to use between sessions, and discuss the insights you have gained through practice. The type of therapy that best suits you may include: Individual Therapy, Couples Therapy, Family Therapy and/or treatment for children, adolescents and seniors.

Venture Academy is Canada’s first and longest running private, direct access, adolescent residential program. Since 2001, Venture Academy has been providing assessment, treatment and educational support services for struggling teens, ages 12-18, suffering from mental health issues, substance use and other emotional or behavioural challenges. Our program is licensed and accredited and heavily focused on strength building. Families are actively involved in the treatment process to improve the success of their child. Venture Academy has served over 1,600 youth and families from every corner of the country and internationally. We offer short-term intervention with a focus on assessment and stabilization as well as longer-term treatment focused on sustainable change and positive treatment outcomes. We can usually schedule an admission quickly following the approval of the child’s application.

At Valiant Behavioural Health we treat the roots behind addictions. We provide the highest level of individual counselling sessions available, offering up to 12 private sessions per week. Trafalgar Addiction Treatment Centres is a CARF accredited, private, residential & virtual intensive outpatient (VIOP) rehab facility offering client centred treatment of alcoholism, cocaine, cannabis, heroin (substance abuse), and other addictive behaviours such as gambling, gaming, internet surfing, pornography and sex. Our treatment approach is collaborative, flexible, and individualized to engage clients into meaningful, client centred treatment goals. Trafalgar provides a concurrent disorder focus to treating addiction and the underlying mental health. Most people suffering from addiction also suffer from a coexisting disorder ie, depression, anxiety, trauma or PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) etc.
