Are you trying to truly know and see yourself? To develop a friendship? In a world that can be as traumatizing and confusing as ours, many of us must become selves that survive and accommodate. It can be hard to meet and develop other sides of yourself, especially when self-curiosity and changing are rarely taught and encouraged. This is made even harder when one has gone through trauma. Colonial, capitalistic and supremacists systems and mindsets program us to see ourselves and others as ideas and objects. In our work together we can explore how to authentically and joyfully connect.
Drama therapy can look like many things, depending on your inclinations. We could end up using storytelling, embodiment, art, and characters to explore. We could also just speak using imaginative and creative conversation to unpack your life. Through this process you may not only be able to explore yourself, but also re-discover creativity and playfulness.
I aim to make this a collaborative process, that centers your needs. Please reach out so we can see if we are a good fit.
