Substance abuse, mood disorders, or BPD can impact your relationships and the way you view the world. I specialize in addiction, BPD, depression, emotion regulation problems. I have more than 25 years of experience with these, as well as anxiety and internet overuse. My approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Together we can work toward your mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
My approach is warm, safe and collaborative, and services are provided under strict confidentiality. I can help you to develop healthy coping skills, identify goals and strengths, improve relationships, and make positive changes that can help you reach your full potential. Substance use/abuse is a specialization.
If you are concerned with your teen's - or another loved one's - substance use, I provide education, early intervention or treatment for dependence. The goal is to reduce harmful use and prevent the progression to addiction. Clients develop resiliency, learn to deal with difficult emotions, improve relationships, and increase self-efficacy.
