As a Psychotherapist, Play Therapist and Educator with over 20 years of experience and a lifetime of working with children and youth and their caregivers, I can help. Although I offer therapy and counseling on a very broad spectrum my specialty is Therapeutic Tutoring, a play, strength-based program developed to help students who are struggling to function in a conventional educational environment.
This program addresses trauma experienced by many students and caregivers with the goal of getting them back on track both emotionally and academically. For those who are stuck: anxious, gaps in learning, unable to apply their skills, have had a history of negative school experiences or who may need help to recover from the adverse effects of COVID 19.
These are stressful times leaving many feeling disconnected and frustrated whether it be returning to school, work or community. I can provide a safe, trusting and fun approach to developing a treatment plan based on your individual needs.
