Dr. Virginia Boquiren is a clinical health psychologist, registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Dr. Boquiren works with clients who are experiencing a variety of psychological disorders, including anxiety and depressive difficulties. In addition, she helps individuals who are coping with various psychosocial stressors, including low self-esteem and confidence, body image issues, self-criticism, relationship issues, work stress, trauma, grief/loss, as well as challenges living with chronic illness.
Dr. Boquiren aspires to provide evidence-based treatment, working primarily from cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) and emotion-focused therapy (EFT) frameworks. She is also trained in dialectical behaviour therapy, mindfulness, as well as in providing psychoeducation and supportive group psychotherapy.
Dr. Boquiren strives to provide a safe, non-judgmental, supportive environment where her clients can explore the cognitive and emotional underpinnings of their behaviour, empowering themselves to work towards their goals.
