Hello, I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) currently offering counselling for individuals and couples. I have a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology, a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in both psychology and philosophy, and an Associate of Science degree. I have worked with children and youth at the Ministry of Child and Family Development and the Youth Health Centre, as well as, adults at Victims Services and Ann Davis Transition Society.
I have completed the occupational awareness training for therapists working with first responders endorsed by the British Columbia Professional Fire Fighters Association (BCPFFA), and the trauma informed practice training with the Canadian Police Knowledge Network.
I take a strength-based, person-centered approach and am well versed in various evidence based therapeutic methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, dialectic behaviour therapy, existential therapy and others. With this in mind, I work to collaborate with my client in order to find the approach which best suits their needs.
