I specialize in working with adults and young adults (16+) who have experienced trauma and are coping with symptoms related to anxiety, ADHD, depression and grief. I have spent my career working in the community and understand holistically the struggles that people are facing today. As a racialized individual I hope to create a safe space for people to explore their cultural identity and cope with encounters of discrimination and racial violence.
I employ a person-centered approach, integrating mindfulness, ACT, and CBT to explore clients' present experiences and build emotional skills. I delve into the roots of their challenges, advocating for a shift from "what's wrong with you" to a compassionate exploration of "what happened to you." My goal is to create a supportive environment for healing.
