Hi there! My name is Tonya. Let me start with telling you a bit about my therapeutic approach: I take a partnership-based, eclectic approach in my work with individuals, couples and families. You might be wondering what the heck does that really mean? Well, It means that I believe people are the experts in their own lives, and I am here to support you with finding your own answers/solutions for moving forward- in the ways that make the most sense to you. I draw on various different types of therapy, and we work together to determine which approach is the best fit for you.
I have a diverse range of experience, including, working with people dealing with grief, addictions, disabilities, (including caregivers) codependency, communication, relationships, intimacy and work-related issues. I bring forth a strong balance of empathy, listening and understanding, with an integration of proactivity and creating pragmatic action plans.
