The Play Clinic provides a safe and secure place for children, youth, adults, and families to heal as they work through emotional, behavioural, and relational issues. Jodie is Certified Play Therapist Supervisor, IFSI Approved Clinical Consultant, Certified EMDR therapist, Certified Trauma Professional II, and a Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider. Jodie spent the last 10 years focused on specializing in children's behavioural and mental health, seeking out consultation from leading therapeutic experts to be able to support clients of all ages healing and well being.
All work with children under the age of 12 begins with 3 to 5 sessions for assesment: meeting with the caregivers, connecting with relevant service providers, and the child or youth themselves, and then creating a treatment plan in collaboration with caregivers.
All our therapists are trained in, receiving supervision in and/or working towards certification in relevant modalities. We also use tools such as the Safe & Sound Protocol and NeurOptimal Neurofeedback brain training to support nervous system regulation. Clients report feeling more balanced, focused and organized in all areas using neurofeedback.
