When I went to look for my own therapist, I found it a bit difficult to sort through all of the profiles. This can be daunting and confusing. There is a growing body of research that indicates that the most important aspect of making therapy effective, is the relationship between Therapist and Client, I hope you find a person with whom you feel that spark of something you can trust - - - - I have found that helping people with Anxiety, Trauma, Anger /Conflict Management and Relationship stress (separation, conflict, social anxiety) are the areas where my Clients report the biggest impact and improvement.
I employ an Integrated approach, drawing from various schools of therapy, though focusing on mindfulness, somatic, polyvagal, IFS and AEDP as theoretical foundations. When needed, elements of CBT are also part of my practice. Ultimately, I hope to provide a space where you experience a haven, somewhere to acquire tools to help you and a place of rest.
Looking for a new therapist is weird. And intimidating. And sometimes overwhelming. Finding the right fit is so important, but how do we know this person is right for us?
