I obtained my PhD in Clinical & Counselling Psychology at University of Toronto and am a Registered Psychotherapist and Citizen of the Métis Nation of Ontario. I've worked clinically with a range of individuals and issues, including relationship difficulties, overwhelming emotions, perinatal challenges, fat/body acceptance and general life events. I have worked extensively with women, trauma survivors, 2SLGBTQ+ & Indigenous (First Nation, Inuit & Métis) peoples on their healing journeys. I believe psychotherapy is founded on building a safe and collaborative space where therapist & client work together to achieve greater well-being.
I primarily practice emotion-focused therapy and draw on other therapies such as cognitive-behavioural, dialectical-behaviour and narrative therapies. Central to my work are principles of empathy, humility, strength and holism. I offer weekday appointments and work with clients in Ontario and Alberta. I am a registered provider with NIHB, IRS and MMIWG2S+
My training includes a predoctoral residency at the Psychological Trauma & Women's Programs (CAMH). I am a certified psychotherapist with Postpartum Support International, with specialized training in pregnancy, postpartum & perinatal mental health. I am the Founder & Director of the Weaving Wellness Centre and support folks from all walks of life!
