In my practice, I specialize in treating trauma, anxiety, chronic pain, and chronic symptoms. I focus on using mind-body approaches to support people in regulating their nervous system, approaching their emotions with a sense of safety, becoming embodied, and living life with passion. Many mental and physical health concerns are due to a dysregulated nervous system, so to heal we need to build a relationship with our nervous system using top-down and bottom-up approaches to self-regulate.
When working with clients I utilize the following therapy approaches: Polyvagal Theory, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Somatic Experiencing (beginner level), Mindful Self-Compassion, Pain Reprocessing Therapy, and Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy. With each client I work with I individualize my approach to meet their needs.
