Effective regulation occurs in the context of healthy relationships, which is something we ideally learn through our early experiences. When people experience anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, lost intimacy, communication and conflict issues, low self-esteem, addictions and substance abuse, parenting difficulties, and work and school issues, just to name a few, the root cause is commonly the result of a dysregulated nervous system. I specialize in helping clients understand their experience through the lens of attachment, trauma, learned behavior, and adaptive nervous system regulation.
I use a holistic attachment- and trauma-informed approach integrating DBT, ACT, CBT, Somatic therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, EFT, Gottman Method, Mindfulness, and Communication skills to gently guide you forward and help you connect body, mind and spirit. I am currently completing training to become a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP).
More than ever, people need to feel connected, not only with themselves, but with others. I understand feeling disconnected, defeated, unsuccessful, empty, and alone.
