Taking a leap of trust and reaching out for help improved my life. My healing journey has informed me in my work as a therapist. I work from a stance of "what is right with you, and what have you done to get you from there to here?" I don't fix. I make suggestions, and you practice. I welcome your input, especially when you think I make mistakes. You will learn about the gifts of imagination, and what it means to become aware of inner resources already present within. Knowing the difference between anxiety, stress, and worry is life changing. Awareness of an inner life as well as an outer life brings one to a place of inner peace.
I have a trauma informed, eclectic approach that includes reflective writing, art making, song, guided imagery, inner child dialogue. We are all a blend of emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual parts. By connecting with parts of your unique self, integration and freedom from self-destructive thoughts and behaviors is possible.
I focus on inclusion not exclusion. If you are struggling with your sexual identity or gender, you are safe with me. Amidst suffering it helps to be reminded of the strengths and qualities that helped you survive. However we identify in the world, we all have potential, intelligence and creativity.
