One of the many joys I experience working as a therapist is helping people to connect to their inner strengths, resources, resilience, and courage. I bring to my practice 20 years of experience supporting children, teens, adults, elders, and families through some of life’s most difficult hardships, transitions, and losses. I specialize in grief and loss, trauma counselling, and the often-accompanying issues of anxiety, depression, and addiction. I enjoy working with kids and teens and helping them feel safe and capable as we discover creative avenues of expression for their often complex and profound emotions and ideas.
I work with a committed belief in the human ability to heal emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and physically when provided with the right support, a healthy environment, and when connected with one's own sense of meaningfulness and purpose.
I work with clients of all ages and backgrounds in a collaborative approach to nurture their wellness and healing to create the changes they wish to see in their life. I work with a variety of therapeutic modalities- including expressive therapies, traditional talk therapies, and Somatic Experiencing. Sliding scale rates are available to grieving children.

Groups
Compassion in Action: Children's Grief Group
The Compassion in Action Children's Grief Group is a monthly children's grief support group for children from Kindergarten to Grade 8 who have experienced the loss of a parent, brother or sister. This group provides the opportunity for grieving children to meet other children in a supportive environment where they can find a shared understanding. Before joining the group, I will meet with the child to see whether the group is the right fit for their needs. This children's group is offered with generous support of community members and local businesses.
