I have been practicing social work for 16 years in the field of adult mental health across a broad range of experiences including trauma and stress, anxiety & depression, grief & loss, relationship issues, and self-esteem. I currently work in a hospital mental health outpatient setting and in private practice at Lock 33 Counseling in Lindsay, ON. I am committed to providing a safe, gentle, compassionate, and respectful therapeutic environment in which healing and recovery can naturally occur. Therapy can lead to improved coping & resilience, improved connection with self & others, & greater meaning/fulfillment in your life.
Through an anti-oppressive, recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and attachment-informed approach, I support clients to address current stressors, past challenges, and embark on personal healing and growth. We will work together to create a treatment plan that addresses your needs.
I utilize a number of therapeutic modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
