I am a Senior Counsellor with Stewart & Associates Counselling. My practice includes work across Britain & Canada. I have obtained specialized training in the areas of Trauma, Child abuse, Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Loss, Bereavement, End of life, Chronic health issues, Life transitions, Self-esteem, Conflict resolution and early life relationships. I maintain a particular interest in interpersonal relationships, attachment disruption/injury and attunement to inner knowing and awareness. I work with the mind, the body and emotions, focusing on the breath and inner sensations to promote calm, reflection & rest.
With a wealth of experience in working with various communities, including BIPOC, diverse abilities, Women, those with chronic health conditions, disabilities, and LGBTQ2SI individuals. My work history encompasses Public Health, Education and Social Services, Not-for-profit organizations, and Private Clinical practice.
I work from the premise that individuals are capable of knowing, and making the right decisions for themselves, this process can become hampered by difficult life experiences, life pressures and social stressors. I draw attention to internal resilience and emotional and social connection to others.
