Working as a First Responder or being a Veteran can bring a “mix bag” of unique challenges, positive and negative, that can influence multiple layers in your life. SB Psychology provides specialized treatment for individuals exploring a variety of concerns for both professional and personal life challenges. I specialize in dealing with PTSD and have experience working with service- and combat- related trauma. I also work with Veterans & First Responders who just need to talk to a “grey zone” or maybe just feel stuck and overwhelmed.
SB Psychology offers specialized treatment for members of the RCMP, EMS, EPS, EFRS, CAF & Veterans from all agencies in Fort Saskatchewan. I offers a variety of strategies and tools to work with each individual’s therapeutic needs. I have training and experience working with EMDR Therapy and different cognitive behavioural therapies.
It takes courage to reach out and talk about things that bother us. Understanding and accepting that it’s okay to talk about it…is okay! My approach as a therapist is a mix between being supportive and straightforward yet down-to-earth and non-judgmental.
