Working as a partner with my clients I believe therapeutic conversations can help to identify, change, and resolve issues. Positive changes are possible! I have a Masters of Arts Counselling Psychology Degree. I am a Registered Social Worker and a Canadian Certified Counsellor. My practice utilizes an integrative approach which includes the biological, psychological, and sociological needs of the client. I am a trained EMDR therapist and a therapeutic play practitioner. I have twenty-eight years of experience in the mental health field. I am committed to working with children, teens, and their families.
I work collaboratively with my clients to heal from past wounds, and become the person they want to become. Together we can explore and come to understand areas of strength and growth. I can provide a supportive structure that can offer a new perspective to some of the difficulties my clients may be experiencing.
My specialization include: improvement of relationships, defusion, acceptance, self-compassion, identification of values, and committed action. These processes can reduce shame, improve management of stress and anxiety, reduce depressive symptoms, increase self-compassion, and assist trauma processing.
