Hi there, my name is Shelby! I’m honoured to be working with Bridge to Wellness as part of my Master of Social Work field placement, during which I will be providing counselling services to individuals and couples. I received my Bachelor of Social Work degree from St. Thomas University in 2019 and have since worked in crisis intervention, addictions and mental health services, and in primary healthcare settings. I’m excited to be building off these skills while developing my approach to counselling.
I have a holistic approach that uses evidence-based therapies, such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and have an interest in working with individuals and couples to address a wide range of challenges, including mental health, trauma, life transitions, and relationship issues.
My collaborative and client-centered approach empowers individuals to gain insight, develop coping skills, and create meaningful changes in their lives.
