Couple and Family Counselling is the focus of my practice. Relationship dynamics can be complex. I work with couples and family members in a collaborative and non-judgmental way to identify what is working and what is not within the family system. I also specialize in working with trauma, first responders (BCEHS and the RCMP) and with individuals who have experienced, witnessed, or perpetrated violence. I believe the details of my clients lived experiences are important and I will work hard to understand clients responses, and the larger context. I have over 10 years’ experience working with individuals, couples, and families.
I have a Master’s Degree in Counselling and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). My approach is grounded in Systemic Family Therapy and informed by Narrative Therapy and Response-Based Practice. I have advanced training in Narrative Therapy, Gottman Level 1 Couples training, and Mediation Training. I write Hear the Child /Views of the Child Reports.
Relationships with our loved ones mean everything! My hope is I can offer insight into what is problematic in the dynamics and support couples/familes in increasing connection and decreasing conflict/tension. I offer individual, couple, or family counselling sessions. I can be reached at 250-253-5987 (phone or text) or by email.
