I specialize in working with people who struggle with anxiety, stress, depression, harmful self-criticism, and the impacts of past trauma. Most of my clients come see me because they seek meaningful change in their lives, and long to feel more at-home and fulfilled in themselves and their relationships.
I draw extensively on the wisdom of mindfulness, self-compassion, mind/body connection; and expertise in Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, and trauma training in my counselling work. Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is a research-supported, 8-week, course designed to cultivate the skills of mindfulness and self-compassion. This group teaches core principles and practices that enable people to respond to difficult moments in their lives with kindness, care and understanding, rather than harsh judgment and self-criticism. Research shows that MSC is effective in decreasing anxiety, stress, & suffering, and increasing overall wellbeing, satisfaction in personal & work life, and happiness.
