Welcome. My name is Rosa. I am an experienced Registered Clinical Social Worker with a 15 year history of working with diverse populations within the Addiction and Mental Health field. I believe in meeting people where they're at with no judgments or preconceived notions. I come from a place of authenticity and curiosity, believing that the client is the expert of their life and that through our work we can set realistic goals for moving forward. I approach my work with an anti-oppressive, strengths based and trauma informed lens. Furthermore, I bring a great sense of creativity, humor, openness and warmth to my practice approach.
I specialize in supporting adults, caregivers and elders with various psychosocial issues such as adjustment, anxiety, mood, trauma and personality disorders. Furthermore, I can provide community/online coaching, consulting and therapy for various specific issues including ADHD, Senior and Dementia Care, Caregivers, and Grief and Hoarding, to name a few.
Registered Clinical Social Workers (RCSW) are able to assess, diagnose and provide treatment for mental, emotional and behavioral issues. Groups
Emotion Regulation Skills Group for PTSD
This is a structured skills training program informed by a therapeutic approach called dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT). It is designed to help you learn skills to cope with overwhelming emotions, reduce impulsivity, enhance interpersonal relationships, and ultimately achieve your own personal goals. The Emotion Regulation Skills Group is a closed group consisting of 8-10 participants who are 18 years of age or older. It runs for 12 weeks, each session 2 hours in length. The group is offered in spring, fall, and winter and will cost $1695 for the full 12 weeks.
