At some point in our lives, we all go through struggles: grief, depression, anxiety, addictions, job loss, relationship breakdowns, trauma. Eventually, we reach the point where we need to heal and grow - to answer the questions, "What does this all mean? Who am I? What is my purpose? How can I be happy? How can I live in harmony with others and with the planet?" Irvin Yalom said, "It's the relationship that heals:" You bring your life experience and I bring a gentle, authentic and non-judgmental presence based in deep listening; together, we will build a relationship that fosters your healing and growth.
While rooted in an existential (person-centred) orientation, I use CBT & IFS, and have training in MBTI, EMDR & EFT. I am interested in the intersection and integration of psychology and spirituality, and I bring a mindfulness focus to counselling therapy. I believe that you are the expert in your life; my goal is to draw out and support your inner wisdom.
It takes courage to reach out for help, to invite someone else into our pain and struggle. While my preference is for face-to-face meetings, I am also available for video and phone sessions. I look forward to connecting with you!
