I have experience working with clients of all ages, and especially enjoy working with children and teenagers. Whether you are dealing with more recent difficulties or what seem like life-long issues, I want to help find strategies, tools, and perspectives that allows you to take the unmanageable and make it manageable. I believe that the client is the expert on their own life, and therapy should be motivated by the goals and issues that are important to them. If you are feeling lost or unsure which direction you want to move in, that is okay too! We can collaboratively explore and experiment to find a meaningful path forward.
I work from a trauma-informed, person-centered perspective, and love to be an advocate for change and social justice. I can offer a safe and non-judgmental space to work through your current struggles while offering an outside perspective and tools that might be helpful. I am an avid reader and love to find ways for clients to connect with the creative arts.
In the book Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer she suggests "What we see is the power of unity. What happens to one happens to us all. We starve together or feast together.
