As a therapist, my goal is to support you to live the life you want to live and become the person you want to become. I value authenticity, connection, and compassion, so it's important that we can create a space where you feel you can be yourself, without judgment, as we work together to identify, clarify, and ultimately achieve your goals. Clients I see tend to experience difficulties related to mood and anxiety, or are seeking coping skills to navigate stress and the complexities of life. Outside of private practice, I am a social worker and psychotherapist in Youth Psychiatry at The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre.
Over my 7 year career in mental health, I have developed a special interest and expertise working with male youth (ages 15-24 years) and adult males seeking support to deal with anxiety, depression, life transition, and identity. I participate regularly in training, consultation/supervision as my commitment to ethical practice and professional development.
I know firsthand how anxiety and depression can get in the way of us living the life we want to live. I hope together we can confront these challenges head on, so you can stop suffering and start living. On a personal note, I am a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community and I enjoy video games (RPGs!), reading, writing non-fiction, yoga, and curling!
