I often meet with people at important transitions in their lives, such as: preparing for marriage, navigating parenting challenges, facing the loss of a loved one, or a change in their work lives. For many, counselling is helpful in untangling the web of family relationships.
My focus is to help people manage and reduce their stress and anxiety over the issue or problem they are facing, to understand their part in it, and to work on solutions that create positive change.
I have a special interest in working with adult siblings and their parents; helping them to manage their relationships with one another, as well as cope with issues such as eldercare. I am also interested in working with families who are struggling with the specific challenges that may come with parenting adolescents.
