I view attending psychotherapy as a courageous decision to make positive changes in one's life. My aim with clients is to hear and understand who they are, what they are struggling with, the context around those struggles, and what they want to get out of counselling. What I aim to provide is insight into these answers, and to help each client pave their own path forward. I use an integrative approach, incorporating humanistic, solution-focused, narrative, emotion-focused, strengths-based, and cognitive-behavioural strategies.
I began working as a counsellor, teacher, and coach at high schools in 2018. During that time, I gained valuable experience learning about the unique struggles and circumstances of a wide array of individuals and families. I know problems and challenging times are inevitable. However, we do not have to face them alone.
