Hi. I’m Suzan and I’m so excited you found my page. Whether you are someone looking for help with issues around eating or with your relationship, I can help. I work with individuals who are struggling with body image and/or an eating disorder. With therapy you can heal and make peace with food and your body. Recovery is possible. I also work with couples who somewhere along the way, lost connection. You may be noticing you don't laugh or have fun anymore. You may be having the same fight over and over again. The good news is that it's repairable. My practice is built around the highly acclaimed Gottman Method.
My therapeutic style is characterized by warmth, empathy, humour, and compassion. As a client-centered therapist, I use different therapeutic techniques that fit your specific needs and goals. I am Internal Family Systems informed, Somatic experiencing informed and trained using the Gottman Method for couples.
Life is hard. Struggles are inevitable. We were never meant to do them alone. For healing to begin and growth to happen, there needs to be connection to others. The 7 Principles of Making Marriage Work Workshop
Starting April 5, 2023 for 8 weeks. This online workshop is based upon Dr. Gottman's book, "The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work". The principles are specifically designed to help couples strengthen their friendship and learn important communication and conflict management skills. If you have difficulty communicating and understanding your partner, are stuck arguing in circles about the same issue, or in a good relationship and would like to make it even better, then this workshop is for you!
