As a social worker/psychotherapist, I am known for my integrity, compassion, and warmth. I have 14 years of extensive clinical practice supporting individuals who have endured past and present traumatic and hurtful life experiences. I guide individuals out of painful emotions, thoughts, and somatic reactions by creatively combining therapies and techniques like EMDR, sensorimotor psychotherapy, brainspotting, deep brain reorienting, and other interventions that heal distressing cognitive, emotional, and behavioural patterns.
Recovering from traumatic and adverse life experiences is not a linear process. I support individuals throughout all the stages, challenges, and transitional periods one encounters during healing. Also, I use a listening/music therapeutic technique - Safe and Sound Protocol - that regulates and calms the autonomic nervous system.
My genuine, thoughtful, practical, and trauma-informed approach to therapy allows for individuals to move out of survival modes of existing. This provides the opportunity to discover and respond to new ways of being and living. I offer 30, 60, or 90-minute appointments. Also, I can schedule EMDR intensives.
