As a Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario with over 16 years of experience working in mental health, I specialize in working with emotional and relationship issues, self-esteem, life transitions as well as childhood trauma.
Life can be hard. Whether it is life transitions, stressors, illness, or any perceived limitation, we will all struggle, experience pain, sorrow, and discomfort. The question is, how do we support ourselves during difficult times? What type of relationship would we like to have with ourselves, others, and the world on the winding path of life? I believe psychotherapy connects us with our strengths, values, and compassion we need to live a more fulfilling, meaningful, and authentic life, despite obstacles we all encounter. It helps guide us toward approaching life with an open heart.

I work with teens and adults from diverse backgrounds facing a range of challenges, including depression, grief, relationship issues, and anxiety.
Sometimes we are faced with challenges that can make it hard to live the life we want. In these difficult periods, therapy can provide an opportunity to connect with another person, explore the problems you may be facing, and figure out a path forward that works for you. My priority is creating a safe space between me and my clients, which means I approach every person and problem with respect, compassion, and without judgement. Regardless of how you feel right now, you (yes, you!) have strengths, expertise, and valuable experiences that I’m here to help you unearth, reclaim, or explore.

On the inside you’re unravelling. Overwhelmed and exhausted, stuck in the same day to day survival mode and feeling like you’ve lost yourself. Maybe you’re not quite sure when or how it happened, but somewhere along the line, life happened, and you no longer know who you are, your relationship with your partner doesn’t feel as close as it once did, or maybe your parenting isn’t what you imagined it would be. Where did your pleasure and purpose in life go? You built a beautiful life, but it’s harder than you imagined, and you feel like you’re failing.

I provide individual, couples & family therapy. Do you feel burdened by your thoughts? Are feeling overwhelmed? Do you find it challenging to fall asleep at night? Do you wish that you could just turn your mind off, to finally get a few moments of peace? I can help you take your life back, feel better, experience ease of being and get more restful sleep. I help individuals overcome anxiety, depression, burnout, overwhelm & stress. I also help couples who have many unmet needs; feel frustrated, resentful & angry in their relationship; struggle to communicate effectively; no longer experience intimacy or have lost trust.

Relationship Issues Counsellors
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
