| Français I am queer, neurodivergent and a parent. I have 13 years of clinical experience in psychiatric, addictions, relational and childhood trauma and community work. My first language is English. I work to help people integrate their thoughts, emotions, somatic experiences and stories of empowerment so they can make sense of the world during these difficult times. I have worked with issues such as Depression, Stress Management, CPTSD, Anxiety, ADHD, Autism, Gender Dysphoria, Eating Disorders, Addictions, BPD and PTSD. I believe people are more than their diagnosis. Psychiatry must be deconstructed for us to find our true potential.
I work from an anti-oppressive integrative model. Warmth and empathy are the core of my practice. I understand the impacts of trauma through my work with street entrenched indigenous people in downtown Winnipeg during my twenties. I am currently completing a thesis at McGill on trauma on the somatic experience of gender euphoria and dysphoria.
Through the help of the wonderful professionals in my life when I was a teen, I was able to exit the streets and finish high school attending a specialized teenage parent program with my new born son. I want to offer the same compassion I received to the people I work with. Change starts with honesty, humility and love.
