In 2017 my heart led me into the field of mental health counselling. After going through my own journey I knew that making a difference in the lives of those whose suffer was what I wanted to do. As a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counsellor I am here to tell you that you are not alone, that there is hope, and that with dedication and consistency you can improve your life. Receiving my training at the Caron Organization in Florida my specialities include working with mood and anxiety disorders, depression, substance abuse, disordered eating, family and relationship strain, and life transitions.
I take an eclectic approach to therapy tailoring it to your specific needs as everyone is unique. Cognitive and dialectical behaviour therapy, family of origin and psychodynamic perspectives, mindfulness, and solution-focused are the modalities that I work from. I operate from a place of empathy, unconditional positive regard, and non-judgment.
Taking the first step to contact a therapist can be challenging and uncomfortable. I promise to meet you with warmth and understanding. With both personal and professional experience, high education, excellent training, and sheer passion I promise to guide you along the path to wellness.
