My passion is helping people who have sustained relational, attachment, and intergenerational trauma through childhood neglect, and/or sexual, emotional, physical, and spiritual abuse and assaults at any point throughout the lifespan. This trauma often shows up later in life as: intrusive thoughts, emotions, body sensations and flashbacks; an overall experience of sadness, shame, depression, anxiety, anger, loneliness; addictive, avoidant, and compulsive behaviours; and a loss of a sense of Self. It's important to know that there is nothing wrong with you! This is a normal response to terrible things that have happened to you.
As trauma-focused Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist I’ll work together with you to heal, transform, and deepen your relationship to your internal parts and external relationships. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) adds a behavioural component that helps you define your values and live the full, rich and meaningful life you have always wanted.
I also welcome your creativity, playfulness, courage, and brilliance. I am here to help you release the personal and legacy burdens that have been limiting your life so you can reclaim your birthright of joy, connection, and aliveness. I bring more than 25 years of counselling and 15 years of mindfulness practice and teaching experience to our work together.
