Dr. Parikh is a registered Clinical and Counselling Psychologist providing assessment and psychotherapy to adults in Ontario. In her clinical work she is attentive to the therapeutic relationship and value holding a safe and accepting space for my clients that is both collaborative and empowering. She has trained at the doctoral level, with over a decade of experience providing evidenced-based clinical treatment and counselling for a range of psychological disorders and concerns including anxiety, depression, obsessions and compulsions, trauma, low self-esteem, stress, difficult relationships, perfectionism, and self-criticism.
Dr. Parikh offers integrative treatment approach that draws from her extensive training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), as well as exposure-based and trauma-informed therapy models. She has a special interest in incorporating mindfulness, acceptance, and self-compassion focused approaches into therapy when appropriate.
Throughout her experience as a clinician working with individuals from all walks of life, she has observed how psychotherapy can help to provide a secure foundation, ease psychological suffering, increase well-being, and in turn, pave a path forward.
