Relationships matter. If you decide to begin a therapeutic relationship with me, I will provide you with a safe and welcoming space to be yourself. I value open and collaborative dialogue and aim to listen without judgment or bias. I believe that people are not problems and will provide a kind, empathetic, and compassionate response to your story. I practice from a collaborative lens that helps to empower and elevate your voice as we learn from, and process your life experiences together. I acknowledge that you are the expert in your own life and strive to listen for and build upon your inherent strengths during our time together.
My history as a certified school counsellor provides me with extensive knowledge of the school system and am open to collaborating with school staff and clinicians to advocate for students' well-being at school. As experts in their own lives, youth are included in this collaborative process as I aim to centre their voice in decisions based on their learning.
I strive to empower adolescents and young adults in the choices they make as they learn more about themselves and who they can become. I practice from an inclusive, affirming, and anti-oppressive framework that emphasizes equality, empowerment, decolonization, and social justice. You are welcome here.
