I also practice from a place of cultural humility and empowerment. I create a safe space to express yourself, while tapping into your strengths to create achievable goals for positive change. You, the client will develop practical tools for managing emotions, self-empowerment and advocacy, as well as resilience in your day-to-day life. Ultimately, I will meet you where you are at, and we will work together at your own pace.
I practice an eclectic approach to therapy. I combine evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches of Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solutions Focused Therapy. I have also gained interest in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and I can provide EMDR with consultation.
I am a 3rd year Master of Counselling Student therapist and I welcome alI diverse group of individuals including children, youths, adults and members of a marginalized community. I appreciate the uniqueness of every individual and therapeutic interventions are tailored to honour the client’s cultural identity and values.
