Choosing to enter into therapy is an act of strength and a process of self-discovery. Finding a good fit and building a strong therapeutic relationship is the key to achieving goals and lasting change. I consider my role to be one of facilitator, witness and coach; creating a safe container for your experience and your self-exploration.

Hello! I am Juanita (she/her) and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) recently graduated from my Masters in Counselling Psychology. I believe that there is no problem too big or too small for therapy, and I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy. My goal is to help individuals move through life barriers, connect with their true selves, and find ways to dictate their own journey and life story. Together, we can create a safe space, examine and explore our experiences, establish goals, and create person-specific coping strategies, to help you better navigate your life.

Are you struggling to do the things you want to do; or not do the things you don’t want to do? Do your thoughts dominate you – telling you who you can and can’t be? Is your life shrinking as you struggle to control or avoid painful thoughts and emotions (e.g. anxiety and depression). Therapies focused on behavioural change can help! Are you stuck in fear, grief, panic, anger, and/or shame du to past traumas? Do these feelings have you locked in patterns of addiction, self-hatred, self-isolation, or blaming others? Are these patterns negatively impacting your sense of self and relationships? Trauma processing therapies can help!

My sessions are 90 MINUTES LONG. Other therapists usually have 50 or 60-minute sessions & are often too short to get into the "meat" of a problem. Longer sessions equal getting more accomplished thus FASTER progress, FEWER sessions & LESS cost... So, let's begin today... You can feel better...regardless of your life situation. Whether you're feeling down, irritable, anxious or worried, I'm no stranger to the problems that you face. Maybe you feel dissatisfied with your relationship...or your life. Ongoing problems can be distressing, and painful and affect your sleep and your health. It's time to take charge....NOW...today, together

As a therapist I offer a warm, compassionate and open presence for my clients. I seek to provide a safe space for clients to look at their life with more curiosity and less fear, while empowering them to listen for their deepest needs and desires. I believe that each person brings their own unique story into therapy, and my role as a therapist is to help remove the barriers that prevent clients from hearing their own inner wisdom. I work from an Integrative approach, pulling from different approaches. Some of these include: Psychodynamic, IFS informed, Mindfulness Self-Compassion and Somatic/body based and Existential.

As a therapist, I see myself as a facilitator of change and a witness to my clients' journeys of self-discovery. I believe that everyone has the potential for growth and transformation, and I feel honored to accompany my clients on their path towards healing and wholeness. Taking after others who have inspired me, I encourage my clients to step into their power and courageously embrace their vulnerability as a source of strength and connection. My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and curiosity. I strive to create a non-judgmental and supportive environment where clients feel heard, seen, and understood.

I provide counselling & psychotherapy for individuals and couples who are experiencing relationship problems, trauma, grief, anxiety, depression and problems associated with coming out as lesbian, gay, bisexual or trans-identified. I help people (age 12+) to navigate the ups & downs that come with life, including issues related to stress, negative self talk, emotion regulation, self-esteem, and other emotional and/or mental health challenges (including ADHD, self-harm, school avoidance, anxiety, perfectionism, and more). My style of therapy supports gentle curiousity about the roots of an emotion and/or behaviour, building internal resources, and increasing resiliency. After all, life isn’t always easy and I want people to trust that they have the understanding, capabilities, and skills to get through (and even thrive!), especially when things get rough.

At times we may feel stuck, as if something is standing in our way of change, of wellbeing, and we feel like we are facing a roadblock to a more fulfilling life. We may also be undergoing or carrying experiences that weigh us down, impact our relationships with ourselves and others, cause emotional pain, and blind us from seeing the path forward. Together, we will build a relationship of trust and understanding together as a solid foundation as healing happens through genuine connection with safe others. I believe you are the expert of your life, and you have the strengths and resources to achieve your goals.

Life isn't always easy. Sometimes, even the strongest people amongst us need a little bit of help to work through some of life's more challenging problems. Everyone has battles to fight and hurdles to overcome at some point. Whether you struggle with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, anger or any other issue, you should know that there is hope for a better tomorrow.

Are you having difficulty letting go of distressing memories, do you hold lots of negative beliefs about yourself and about the world, do you often feel sadness, anxiety, depression, and fear? Have you experienced trauma and feel that you "can't get past it"? Would you like to let go of the pain of these memories and feel better about yourself and others? For those in a partnership are you struggling with relationship challenges and seeking stronger emotional connection? Would you like to stop fighting over the same things and stop feeling hopeless in your relationship?

I believe in people before problems. My view is that we have abilities to overcome challenges, even when they seem insurmountable. What often stops us from living our lives the way we want to, is getting caught up by the problem, rather than finding solutions. I don’t shy away from problem talk, but I also encourage space for finding what works to live a more fulfilling life.

Hi, I'm Emily! It was apparent to me from a very young age that I wanted to pursue a career in counselling. It wasn’t until I got diagnosed with IBS and Crohn’s that I began directing my career towards helping others navigate similar struggles. Recognizing the complexities of living with a chronic health condition and autoimmune disease, my goal is to work collaboratively with individuals to regain control of their lives using various evidence-based practices that encourage self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-development. Sessions with me also include healthcare system navigation, psychoeducation, and advocacy skill building.

I work with adults who want freedom from negative patterns and who want to get to the root of repetitive reactivity and triggers. They want calm and peace. They want help with healthy boundaries, anxiety, self-worth, depression, life direction, co-dependency, communication, addiction, relationships (with self, the Divine, life partner, ex-partner, children, family, co-workers), emotional regulation, grief, loss/divorce, chronic pain, parenting, spiritual growth and psychedelic integration. Carrying the past makes current life difficult. Helping clients accept the past, learn from it and then let it go is what I love doing best.

I offer therapy for relationships and intimacy. It’s terrifying and heartbreaking to think that this may be the end of your relationship. There is distance and disconnection between you and your partner. You feel alone and desperate to reconnect but they feel so far away or you don’t even recognize them anymore. You feel more like roommates than partners, or you’ve been betrayed and no one can understand why you want to stay in this relationship. You want to be able to talk through issues but the conversations escalate quickly or your partner shuts down. You don’t know where things went wrong but something needs to change.

Early life experiences can shape the way we think and feel about ourselves, and influence our way of being in the world. To get through difficult times, we put strategies in place, and while they're helpful at the time, they can long overstay their welcome and usefulness. Psychotherapy can help make sense of what was, what is and what's possible, making space for positive change.
