The pain and suffering of grief and loss, heartbreak, and the transitions of life. Feeling like we’re failing as parents, partners, in our work, or in the other multiple roles we play. Exhausted, depleted, overwhelmed, or navigating a life crisis. Or perhaps we're just simply ready to elevate, embrace, and connect to our fullest potential and truest self through the growth and change that we desire.

Adversity is one thing that we can come to expect in an increasingly demanding and stressful world. When adversity overwhelms us, it can impact those parts of our lives that are most meaningful. Whether adversity presents as emotion dysregulation, anxiety, depression, grief, interpersonal conflict, addiction, anger or loss; the impact can be devastating, undermining our sense of self and confidence. These issues are at the core of my practice.

Whether you’ve survived domestic or sexual abuse, are experiencing grief, or struggle with the heaviness of everyday life and relationships, I want to hold space for you.
Navigating pain from trauma, relationships, and life in general, can often feel like an overwhelming burden, creating a heaviness that doesn't seem to go away. Sometimes, those around us struggle, or refuse, to understand our experiences or offer their support. When this happens, it is common to have feelings of self-doubt and frustration, wondering why it's so challenging to simply "move on." However, the reality is much more complicated than that, and we often unfairly take on more blame and self-criticism than we deserve. You don't want to feel like this anymore, and so reaching out for support is a brave step toward self-love.

Relationships are hard. When things aren't going well, there's nothing more difficult than trying to deal with another person, especially someone you love. It can leave you feeling overwhelmed, confused, heartbroken and alone. It can get you questioning everything you ever thought was real about your relationship and wonder how you'll ever get things right side up again. Don't give up. I know it's not easy, but it can get better.

Take a deep breath, you're finally here looking for the help you think you might need. Let's talk about the hustle of life. It's like being in a marathon, with the finish line constantly moving. Pressure comes from everywhere – pressures of society as we scroll through social media, family demands, work challenges, and that nagging voice in your head asking if you're enough. It's the constant effort of trying to overcome letdowns from others and ourselves. Sometimes, it can feel like you're an outsider in your own life, watching through a window as everyone else seems to have it all figured out.

Many of the problems we experience in life can be traced back to parts of ourself that are wounded or not properly integrated. I help you to reflect and make sense of your experience, and to work through areas of your life that bring discomfort. In moving through these discomforts/stuck areas in a new way, you release these wounds, become free from their grasp & move into more aligned, embodied & authentic living. We cannot fully integrate (become whole in our life) unless we heal and integrate all parts (this includes shadow work, healing parental and childhood wounds, ego work, sacred sexuality, reprogramming belief systems).

Namaste! I provide individual, relationship and marriage counselling, in a nonjudgmental, relaxed environment. Over the last 35 years I have worked with individuals and couples guiding, teaching and helping them by using an eclectic approach, and a variety of different types of modalities depending on the particular needs of my clients. I also provide family mediation and relationship counselling for couples who have split. I am a sex therapist, working with all couples and individuals. I specialize in many areas, as I believe all issues are connected, so to treat problems in isolation is unrealistic and can be short lived.

Our team of therapists are experienced in working with a wide range of concerns and have clinical training in several therapeutic approaches. With specialized training in relational therapy, we understand that problems do not exist within a vacuum. Is your child going through a difficult time, having trouble expressing feelings and/or communicating with others? Are they struggling with overwhelm, anxiety or difficulty regulating their emotions? I offer sessions to support your child in different ways: developmentally, emotions awareness and expression and increasing coping skills. The way your child perceives themselves and the world can make all the difference! We use creativity and talk therapy to explore and process thoughts and feelings, and together discover effective coping skills for daily support. It is not necessary to know how to play an instrument to participate.
