What if your or your partner’s anger is actually a desire for a deeper connection? It’s a paradox that angry reactions push our partners/family/friends away when what we need is closeness. Hurt or fear could be behind anger. Or perhaps underlying depression, anxiety or trauma. Anger could be expressed harshly, silently or many ways in between; either way it builds walls. Whatever stands in the way of better connections can be uprooted and healed. Negative emotions and walls of anger don’t have to remain. You can overcome them and build the relationships you have longed for.
