I understand what it's like to search for a therapist- we hope to find someone who feels like a good fit and with whom we feel a sense of comfort and connection. Are you searching for a therapist for a specific reason, or, like many of us, are you unsure about why you are searching at all? My approach is client-led, which means that you decide what to talk about in our sessions. I will listen with empathy and acceptance. Together, we will illuminate and make sense of issues in your emotional life. We will create space for new understandings about yourself. This self-discovery will be handled with compassionate regard for you.

I have been a psychotherapist for 40 years specializing in a variety of issues including child and adult trauma, sexuality, relationships, anxiety, and depression. My approach is highly empathic, encouraging, and practical. I go between understanding how your difficulties developed by talking about your history and exploring what you may be able to do in the present to feel better. I'm very tuned in and present and usually understand pretty quickly what is going on for you. I offer a lot of compassion and feedback to help you move forward. You are not alone with me.

If you're familiar with the somatic experiences of anxiety and or depression, symptoms of trauma, overwhelm, stress + relationship challenges, then you've landed in the right spot. If you're hoping to reduce the distress in your life that surrounds particularly experiences and relationships, feel more energized and accepting of self, you've also landed in the right spot. Connecting with a therapist where you there's a mutual fit in the therapeutic relationship continues to be the best indicator of outcomes in therapy. As a relational practitioner, I hold this to high regards while knowing that you deserve good therapy.

I believe that we are ALL survivors of trauma. When we go through a traumatic experience, whether it's small or big, a part of us remains stuck in the experience. We hold onto unintegrated emotions and negative beliefs about ourselves. As a result, we tend to attract and get triggered by situations that remind us of these difficult experiences - until we are able to heal. Through various techniques, most notably EMDR, we can work with these unintegrated parts of the self to desensitize and reprocess these experiences and memories. The client can be freed of these patterns and stories and achieve their therapeutic goals.

Welcome! Congratulations on taking the time to explore the possibility of receiving some support in your mental health journey. Reaching out for support can be challenging, and I commend your courage in taking the time to care for yourself. We all have a 'mental health', and we all deserve a space of non-judgment and empathy to explore what we may need to survive and hopefully recover from the challenges life has presented us with. I would be honoured to walk with you in your process of making sense of your experiences, traumas, challenges and finding your unique pathway through the ups and downs of being human in a complex world.

Welcome, courageous human! Using ACH, a unique form of hypnotherapy, I help people enter ‘the courage room’ of the body-brain-spirit. Accelerated Conversational Hypnotherapy sessions are lengthy & IN-DEPTH (2-3 hours per session). I help you connect to the power of your subconscious or unconscious mind. This work is neuroscience-based. While the process may feel emotionally or physically intense, the biggest changes that take place are in your brain, the most important site of transformation for each of us. Often problems 'hold hands' with other problems, so focusing on one important issue leads to big shifts in various areas.

I delight in the uniqueness and complexity of each individual. Holding space for personal work, reflection and deepening of awareness is a gift and honor that I hold dear. I feel it's important to make room for the unfolding intentionality of each person through body mind heart and soul. I tend to support experiences around development, grief, queerness, sexuality and spirituality with great tenderness. I look forward to learning from the people who I meet in my practice as I adapt to how they experience being supported.

I focus on risk assessment of individuals with sexual offences, who are before the court or involved with child protection. I provide comprehensive assessments to assist the courts or child protection in making determinations about sentencing or access to children. Sexological risk assessments can also determine the presence of a sexual/paraphilic disorder that may require additional treatment or intervention.

I work with you to create a safe space for us to explore some of the areas in your life you are struggling with. I believe in naming the strengths in ourselves that resist, or push back against, hardship as points of transformation into a more fulfilling and joyful life.

Are you at home in the middle of the day eating Doritos in your PJs? Could you use a little more excellence and a little less existential dread? So many of us come to a point where we hit a wall. Distractions, hindering thoughts and the feeling of overall suspended doom eventually creeps in. Do you find yourself hating what used to be your dream job? Maybe you're watching your dreams slip away as you grapple with capitalist confinement? Or perhaps you just haven't witnessed the best version of yourself and can't wait to show up to your own life.

Trauma can profoundly alter how we view ourselves, others, and the world. You might feel guilty, ashamed or overwhelmed thinking of your past experiences. It’s common to find it hard to trust others and to feel anxious about the safety of the world around you. You may be grappling with your identity, feeling disconnected from yourself, or overwhelmed by emotions. Despite the challenges you encounter, my goal is to ensure you feel not only supported but truly understood, acknowledged, and empowered.
