I ONLY work with evidence-based therapies, because I know they work! My specialties include psychotherapy with teens, adults & couples, who live with anxiety and/or depression disorders, derealization/depersonalization (DPDR), insomnia, OCD, parenting, workplace issues, trauma & abuse, eating disorders, and/or acute/chronic medical health diagnosis.
Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, & are stuck in one place in life? When you're used to living in a state of chronic stress, feeling calm feels unfamiliar. This is the same reason you remain in chaotic relationships. You may perceive dysfunction as love & find yourself walking on eggshells in relationships. Life becomes exhausting & you end up experiencing stress and dissociation from the overwhelming environment you're exposed to. Regulating your nervous system & living a meaningful life can be a difficult journey but one that's worth exploring so you can live a self-sufficient life.

Clients typically seek therapy because they are struggling with emotional issues such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, relationship problems, OCD, career issues among other things. The ideal client not only has the desire to work on their issues but also the willingness to explore difficult areas in depth. Therapy requires some commitment and willingness to explore issues and with some dedication and consistency, huge strides can be achieved in one's personal journey to wholeness.

I work with adults dealing with a range of issues, including low mood, stress, anxiety, worry, panic attacks, social anxiety, specific phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and posttraumatic stress disorder.
I believe that the most important stories are the ones we tell ourselves. At times in our lives, these stories can cause us to get stuck, be led off course, or feel overwhelmed by our emotions. I see therapy as a space to understand and explore the impact of our thoughts, beliefs, and actions on our emotional experience. Through this exploration, you can gain a greater understanding of yourself and learn valuable skills to improve your mental health. I aim to work collaboratively with my clients to help them engage in this process and to achieve meaningful and lasting change.

I had been a medical doctor before I became a psychologist. I changed professions because I realized that our thoughts, feelings, and behavioural habits have a powerful effect on our health and happiness but their potential to aid healing is often neglected in medicine. I feel privileged to work with clients who are on the journey of recovery and self-growth during and after adversities. I work with clients who have sleep problems, fatigue, stress, low mood, depression, anxiety, panic, chronic worry, obsessive thinking, post-concussion syndrome, medical illnesses, or chronic pain.

Thank you for being here! I work with adults who may experience emotional and behavioural difficulties. I specialize in treating anxiety disorders, OCD, depressive disorders, personality disorders, PTSD, racial trauma, grief and loss, and other relational problems. I also work with those who have experienced childhood trauma. In my work, I consistently and sincerely acknowledge the importance of the transgenerational impact of acculturation on our beliefs, worldviews, and sense of self. I genuinely believe that we are not broken, so we do not need "fixing;" instead, we work to be the self we want to be!
