I use a personalized blend of evidence-based therapy modalities like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, in order to create a unique treatment plan for each person I work with.
Welcome! I work with career-minded people who struggle with Adult ADHD, Anxiety (Generalized, Social, Panic) , and Depression. Many clients are in high-pressure or creative fields, and feel they could be doing better, but struggle to get there on their own. I strive to create a warm, collaborative space where you can explore concerns and learn tools to cope. I feel fortunate to have worked in many settings that uplift 2SLGBTQ+ and BIPOC populations.

I use various approaches, such as CBT, ACT, DBT, and mindfulness, to help people better cope with stressors, as I support them to more deeply understand themselves and make decisions that are right for them.
Life is hard, and the challenges we meet in our relationships, work, and daily tasks can create tremendous stress and uncertainty. I provide a warm and comfortable environment where you and I can work as a team to unpack issues troubling you – I am non-judgmental, have a good sense of humour, and I thrive in supporting people through challenging times. As a mature woman, I have faced my own issues with anxiety, relationship stress, and parenting difficulties, and through my personal and professional experiences I have come to understand how powerful the psychotherapy process is at fostering self-awareness and emotional resilience.

Although I do tailor my therapeutic approach differently for each unique client, I tend to gravitate towards cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), emotion focused therapy (EFT), solution focused, and attachment theory-based interventions.
My goal is to support and guide you back to wellness no matter the trials and tribulations that life presents. I have a keen interest in supporting anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma. Above all, I take pride in building genuine therapeutic relationships with my clients while helping them become the best versions of themselves. Having started my own therapeutic journey as a client myself, I can more deeply appreciate the importance of this client-therapist relationship. The therapeutic journey is not always easy, but I believe that we are stronger together.

Despite an abundance in the material world, you might still feel emptiness in your emotional life. You might experience relationships like riding roller coasters. You might feel helpless or shameful in intimate relationships at times. However, as you uncover your true self, you will realize that you were born with freedom, integrity, joy, and love—gifts you simply forgot. As a queer trauma healer, I understand how trauma can impact your self-view, emotions, relationships, and spirituality. Through a relational approach to healing, I aim to help you feel worthy and self-full, supporting your journey towards meaningful connections.

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” - Carl Rogers I believe that the first step in moving towards the life you want is to accept yourself and your position as they are. This is not a request to settle, but rather, an invitation to look at the cards you hold. Only after accepting how things are can your next steps be determined. I can provide the space for you to express how difficult things are, while the healing relationship we build together will serve as the vehicle driving change. Seeking support is not easy, and you are stronger than you think by simply taking this first step.

We are a diverse team of over 40 licensed and experienced therapists! We believe that there is good in every person, and hope in every situation. We help individuals, couples, and families heal, grow, and connect. As relational therapists, we appreciate the impact that our relationships have on our well-being. We do not see clients as having something wrong with their heads that need to be fixed. Rather, we see our clients as unique individuals, each with their own stories and perspectives, embedded in important relationships and contexts that impact them. We see strengths and we see hope, even when it feels like there is none.

Are you a 25-35 year old, type-A, high-achieving, anxiety prone human with diagnosed or suspected ADHD, a strained relationship with your mom, who people pleases and can never turn their brain off? You've been told you're "too sensitive" or "too much" or "too needy", and you learned to shut your emotions down just to function in this busy society. You're on an emotional rollercoaster, and you've TRIED to feel better: meditation, self-help, breathwork, exercise, therapy tiktoks and journaling...but nothing seems to stick for long. You're really ready and eager to make a change in your mental health, even if nothing else has worked.

I am a Registered Social Worker & psychotherapist practicing across Ontario. In my work, I get to help people just like you break free from what is keeping them "stuck" in their lives and start venturing toward their goals. I have a passion for helping people unlock thier potential to become the best version of themselves. Together, we will begin to unpack the events /people in your life that may have been ( or perhaps are currently) blocking you from growth and discovering your true potential. We will discover your personal "triggers", negative thought patterns and use the appropriate therapeutic tools to change and challenge them

I understand psychic and emotional crises as your body’s best effort to cope with what it is experiencing. All of our behaviours and impulses make sense if we bring a warm curiosity to the bigger picture of your life, your body, your mind and your lived experience. I work to co-create a space where you new stories about yourself can emerge, stories that are more expansive, generous and allowing of what you have lived through. Whether you are working through addiction, compulsive behaviour and thinking, anxiety, depression, grief, ruptures or general existential confusion, I am here to hold it with you.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT) Counsellors

Who is DBT for?

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is designed for people who experience extreme emotional suffering because they lack the skills of emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The basic affliction can underlie a wide range of conditions, from borderline and other personality disorders to PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. The therapy is helpful to those whose emotional reactivity is so intense it is disruptive to everyday functioning and leads to frequent crises.

Why do people need DBT?

The ability to regulate emotions is a core psychological skill that enables people to function in life and pay attention to the world outside themselves; it is consistently associated with well-being. DBT is designed to help people learn how to manage and regulate their emotions. Originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder whose extreme emotional suffering led to self-harming behaviour and suicide attempts, the therapy is now applied to other conditions involving emotion dysregulation, particularly when other treatments have failed.

What happens in DBT?

Individuals meet weekly with their therapist to discuss their experiences relating to moods, behaviour, and skills. Using checklists they maintain, they review emotional experiences and positive practices they engage in. The diaries help individuals discern what led up to a specific problem encountered, this is followed by discussion of the consequences of their actions. In addition, individuals may meet in class-like small groups to learn skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance.

How long does DBT last?

Because it is intended to establish long-lasting behavioural change among those with persistent problems, DBT is designed to last six months to a year. DBT includes both weekly sessions of individual therapy and weekly skills-training sessions conducted in small groups. Studies of DBT have documented improvement within a year of treatment, particularly in controlling self-harmful behaviour; nevertheless, individuals may require therapy for several years.
