The day-to-day can feel like it’s too much sometimes. If you find yourself feeling constantly overstimulated, agitated, overwhelmed and unfocused- you are not alone. Shame may be speaking loudly and telling you that you’re the only one struggling in this way, that you are not enough. Together we can begin shifting your relationship with yourself, the inner critic, and the world around you. We can work towards finding your voice, your creativity and your authenticity even in the most challenging of spaces. It is possible to move to a place of fulfillment and purpose where you are empowered to be a compassionate ally for yourself.

The process starts with a comprehensive assessment of your relationship, including your relationship’s history, and strengths and challenges.
Are you and your partner stuck in conflict loops that you can’t get out of? Are you struggling to communicate and understand each other? Are you feeling emotionally disconnected and withdrawn? I help couples learn how to communicate and build a more peaceful and loving relationship. Drawing from evidence-based modalities, such as the Gottman Method and CBT, I help couples learn how to improve communication, navigate conflicts, rebuild trust, repair from past hurt and improve their friendship, connection and intimacy. I provide guidance and practical tools that can make real and lasting differences in your relationship.

I most commonly support my clients in working through are: relationship challenges (especially with partners, family, friends, coworkers), burnout, management and support of chronic and mental health diagnoses, relationship with food and body image issues, anxiety, depression, difficulty with self-care, and compassionate communication.
Many of my clients come to therapy because they feel discouraged that the people around them appear to not understand the personal challenges they're facing in their lives. In attempting to talk about simple daily struggles, friends, family and co-workers often give advice or put a positive spin on what's hard. This can leave us feeling inadequate that we seem to be baffled by things that others appear to have figured out. As humans we need understanding and acceptance in order that we can continue to grow: and this is support you can find in good therapy.

I'm so glad you're taking steps to look for the connection and space you need. It can be hard to find a therapist that clicks. Therapy can be a space to cultivate radical acceptance, get clear on your relationship patterns, strengthen your resources, and sow the seeds for the courage to make shifts. Our work together is collaborative, working at the pace of your nervous system and at the speed of trust with yourself and each other.

If you are experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship problems, or a different challenge, finding a therapist is a great place to start. Therapy provides a safe and confidential space for you to speak openly about your feelings, fears, and hopes for your future. Why is this valuable? Exploring your emotional landscape provides insight into the obstacles that may be getting in the way of your wellbeing. By engaging in therapy, you can deepen your understanding of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviour. Enhanced self-awareness opens up possibilities for healing and change, helping you align how you live with who you are.

My clinic specializes in relationship issues, anxiety, and perfectionism.
In navigating life's challenges, we often construct defenses that, while once protective, now leave us feeling stuck and isolated. Together, we will work to chip away at these accumulated layers and begin to articulate a more authentic and comfortable way of being in the world. My approach is rooted in compassion and understanding, offering a safe haven for healing while encouraging you gently to your full potential. Together, we'll shift from the shadows of criticism, fear and shame to a path illuminated by self-discovery and growth.

Relationship Issues Counsellors
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
