I offer online therapy to women going through breast cancer, and to folks who experience anxiety, grief and loss, and depression. If you are a woman who has been diagnosed with breast cancer, or you have finished treatment and looking for support, you may feel alone, overwhelmed and scared. You don't have to navigate this journey on your own. If you are a person who is experiencing social anxiety, grief and loss, or depression, you may feel terrified, hopeless, and stuck. You don't have to navigate this experience on your own.

I believe we are all capable of improving our lives but many of us become "stuck" in the process due to self doubt, insecurity, lack of self esteem, past and/or present trauma, losses, etc. My approach is to work together to find the most appropriate solutions for these issues, or find comfort and acceptance with the challenges of life. With broader perspectives, or an alternative life choice, we increase our general well-being. I believe in practical solutions and appropriate perspectives, allowing all of us a better sense of comfort and competency in everyday life.

I approach therapy by brainstorming life and it's complexities. by co-creating spaces where experiment offers perspective, art offers a bird's eye view, where dialogue leads to reflections, communication creates connection and movement allows for shifts. Together we can explore coping mechanisms; how do we look at intimacy; how we perceive our boundaries with another person or persons, among other curiosities and challenges that life presents. I am a graduate of Gestalt Institute of Psychotherapy in Toronto, Canada and a registered member of College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

Living in today’s world as a "big feeler", 2SLGBTQ+ person, ally, non-monogamous person, someone who uses substances, or someone who struggles with relationships overall, can feel exhausting and overwhelming. It can also feel hard to know who the safe supports are (the ones who won’t judge your experience or push you to embrace normative frameworks). You might be seeking support with trauma, anxiety, anger, self criticism, boundaries, emotional dysregulation, loneliness, or feeling othered. Whatever your experiences are, I wholeheartedly get that you have been trying your best so far. Are you ready to try something different?

My passion is to engage with clients who are struggling with mental health issues and for which traditional talk therapy may not be the most helpful modality. As a certified professional art therapist, I seek to help my client find meaning, purpose, and ultimately their inner voice through the creative process. A client may come into art therapy seeking relief from a variety of issues but later find that they can oftentimes find wisdom from within. Art therapy can jog such a process where words sometimes fail. The goal of my practice is to cultivate and nurture this inner voice, and so help my client to develop greater confidence.

Welcome! I work with career-minded people who struggle with Adult ADHD, Anxiety (Generalized, Social, Panic) , and Depression. Many clients are in high-pressure or creative fields, and feel they could be doing better, but struggle to get there on their own. I strive to create a warm, collaborative space where you can explore concerns and learn tools to cope. I also work with couples who feel stuck, trapped, and frustrated with how things are going and have a desire to make things better. I feel fortunate to have worked in many settings that uplift 2SLGBTQ+ and BIPOC populations.

Female Counsellors

Does it matter what gender my therapist is?

In general, this is not an important factor, as there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or ingrained beliefs about how people of different genders think and behave. Exploring the roots of such preferences and considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender truly matters to them.

Should I see a female therapist?

Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist, either because they believe that a woman will be able to relate to their specific challenges (for example, sexism in the workplace) or because they imagine feeling more comfortable disclosing sensitive information to a woman. Such beliefs may not turn out to be accurate, however, and adhering too rigidly to a gender preference can at times hinder a client from finding the best therapeutic match.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?

Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists—both men and women—may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?

It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
