My goal is to offer you a safe space by listening to you with openness, curiosity and compassion. I will strive to create a supportive environment in which you feel free to explore your thoughts and feelings, and identify your goals. Perhaps you hope to ease your suffering, deal with trauma (past or present), free yourself from an unhealthy behaviour, or adjust to life transitions. Whatever it may be, we will collaborate to determine how to most effectively help you move forward. Regardless of your goals, my hope is that our work together will help you achieve increased wellness mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.

Your mind is constantly telling you that you need to do more, but it's hard just to get out of bed in the morning. Chronic pain makes everyday tasks really hard. Everyone around you seems normal and you wonder how they have it all together. Maybe family and friends are supportive, but you worry about being a burden. Or maybe your life is good on paper and nobody sees your struggles, nobody sees your pain. As someone who has lived with chronic pain and anxiety, I know how hard life can get. I understand how isolating it can all be.

When you spend a lot of time worrying, overthinking everything or avoiding activities and situations, this has negative impacts on your life. Anxiety and depression can take many forms. Do you make negative predictions, are you fearful of making mistakes or saying the wrong thing in public, have panic attacks, struggle with intrusive thoughts or rituals, doubt yourself in everyday situations, have low motivation or are feeling down a lot, therapy can be very helpful for you. If traumatic events in your life have resulted in a cycle of fear, shame intrusive memories, and withdrawal, therapy can lead to healing and recovery.

In my work with couples, I support partners to develop an understanding of their communication patterns, and to create and maintain new patterns that bring greater relationship fulfillment.
Looking for healing, growth, or change, but unsure where to start? Or perhaps you have experienced these before and are seeking to deepen and sustain your gains. Together we can achieve your goals. As your therapist, I will provide a collaborative and compassionate space to explore your intentions. A central part of my role is to evoke your own inner wisdom, strengths, resources, and values, and support you in using these to navigate the issues you face. I work with adult individuals and couples and have expertise in the areas of: anxiety, depression, prenatal & post-partum issues, parenting, grief/loss, childhood abuse and trauma.
