Additionally, I can support you through your experiences of grief, low-self esteem, life transitions, stress, parenting struggles, relationship concerns and trauma.
We all need support in navigating life’s hardships, which can leave us feeling stuck, alone and overwhelmed. I strive to create a safe, caring, collaborative and supportive environment for you to explore life’s hardships, while also encouraging you to recognize your strengths. It is important for me to create connection, understanding, compassion, empathy and self-growth in your therapeutic experience. My goal is to support you in developing tools and coping strategies, while also digging deeper to create understanding of the underlying origin of patterns and themes within your life that are no longer serving you.

Do you struggle with self confidence? Is your physical appearance often on your mind? Do you find that you have a hard time trusting yourself? I help clients face long-standing beliefs about their self-worth, body image, eating and wellness behaviours. In addition to collaborating on improving your maladaptive self-related behaviours, we also may explore certain influences to your beliefs such as your relationships, culture, and other intersections in your identity. Ideally, my client enters therapy to reach self-understanding and compassion through implementing adaptive changes in your behaviour and cognition.

It might mean learning skills: self-compassion, boundaries, mindfulness, and DBT/CBT; resolve relationship issues; or doing deep inner work on what's keeping you stuck.
Are you finding yourself discouraged, defeated, short-fused or overwhelmed? Is motherhood, work, or another challenge like infertility, PMDD or anxiety/depression causing a major strain on you, your life, and your relationships? Now more than ever, women are feeling consumed by the amount of expectations put on her, in addition to the expectations she puts on herself. I believe it is possible to live an empowered, connected, and fulfilling life as a woman and/or mom, even when we are pushed to our absolute limits.

It's understandable to feel overwhelmed or shut down when life is hard; situations difficult and relationships confusing. We usually cannot control our outside experiences, at times making it hard to cope. I work with people who want to enhance their ability to respond to life’s challenges with greater ease, confidence, and knowing. I support individuals to overcome feelings of anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, self harm, and trauma. I will gently guide you through a process of discussion and reflection to promote understanding and awareness as you develop skills to foster change.

I help individuals who may struggle with anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues/breakups, self-esteem struggles, difficulties with emotional regulation, attachment styles, learning disabilities, trauma, burnout, and stress.
Life is full of surprises, and even on our best days, challenges can feel overwhelming. Through my personal journey navigating life's complexities and with my experience in the mental health field, I've come to understand the strength it takes to confront these challenges and that it is a personal journey for each of us. Through my own journey and experiences in both my personal and professional life I have experienced the impacts of mental health and stigma, and this has inspired me to be there for those who may be struggling and need help finding a voice and identifying their journey.

Relationship Issues Counsellors
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
