Are you experiencing chronic pain, illness or anxiety? Are you a first responder trying to cope with flashbacks, nightmares and panic as a result of constant exposure to trauma? Are you looking for something more than standard talk therapy? You may think “my stuff isn't as bad as the next person”, however, our struggles aren’t measured by the event(s), they are based on our unique lens, physical reactions and experience. Feelings of numbness, shame, and anger are all perfectly valid reactions to any painful experience. Early intervention is key to avoiding longterm damage. Lets work together to get you the relief you deserve.

There comes a point in someone’s life where they decide, “enough is enough. Something has to change, and this change starts with me.” My ideal client is someone who is tired of old unhelpful repeated life patterns and who is determined to grow and become a better version of themselves. They are individuals who are ready to put in the work to see the results that will lead them to the life outcomes they long for. The issues I have worked for are addictions, men’s mental health, experiences from a multicultural lens, relational issues, and anxiety & coping skills.

I recognize that life is complex, and so are the issues we live with. Whether it be a significant change, like losing a loved one, or tension within a meaningful relationship, it can feel overwhelming and hopeless trying to find our way through these challenges. I believe that we have the solutions to solve our problems within us and, at times, this requires us to reach out for support to uncover the answers to overcome these problems. From there, we seek to understand how we can learn from these hard times to strengthen ourselves and our relationships and find meaning from our experiences.

I am committed to creating safe spaces for clients where they can gain self-awareness, confidence, and compassion for themselves. Walking into a session with me you can expect a judgement-free zone where there are no wrong questions, reactions, or emotions. I am able to meet clients where they are at, so for me, an ideal client is anyone who is curious about themselves and the challenges they may be having, and who is open to meaningful conversation around these pieces. My passion lies in walking alongside others as they share their stories, gain perspective, and reclaim parts of their narrative that no longer serve them.

Hi there! I started Guesthouse Therapy with a desire to support individuals looking to deepen their relationship with themselves and improve their quality of life. If you are struggling with high stress, anxiety, or depression, because of issues related to your relationships, work, or identity, past or present, you are in the right place. I work with a systemic lens, constantly learning about what it means to be anti-racist and anti-oppressive, and practicing within those frameworks. I am aware and critical of environmental, cultural, and societal impacts on our mental health.

Anxiety struggles can be overwhelming, and difficult to overcome alone. So how do we cope when our worries and frustrations are magnified by a worldwide health crisis? You might think “other people have it worse, or my problem is silly”. However, our struggles aren’t measured by the event itself, they are based on the unique lens with which we view our experiences. Do you find yourself trying to escape from life, abusing substances or even feeling ashamed of your behaviour? If you're worried you're not ready or feel hesitant, there's no commitment necessary. Let's explore how we can work together to offer you relief.

Psychotherapy can help when: a life issue causes heartache, you want to improve yourself in some way, or life has become unbearable as it is. Meaningful progress will come from the relationship we will develop, including feeling understood as a unique individual. Feeling accepted for all that you are - both successes and failures - enables you to look at hard-to-face places about yourself, and discover new perspectives. A stronger sense of yourself will develop, and you will make clearer decisions that are right for your particular life. You will come to see yourself differently, and others will experience you differently.

Let’s get curious. Therapy can feel intimidating but truly it’s a time of exploration and learning. Therapy is that block of time you set aside just for you. Along with a skilled seasoned professional, you can receive guidance, support and training to shift out of fear into a state calm and clarity. Many clients I support struggle with anxiety, self doubt, overwhelm, low mood, life transitions, grief, and trauma. I have supported clients of all ages with a special focus on teens and young adults for more than 20 years processing the old and stepping into the new.

Explore within. Create connection. Ignite potential. I work with teens (17+) and adults, along with all levels of athletes & performers - from leisure to elite performance. I help clients overcome obstacles of heightened stress due to anxiety disorders, depression, self-esteem, confidence, body image, self-harm, grief & loss, lack of normal routines, performance blocks, motivational issues and life transitions. These issues act as barriers to achieving their goals and keeps them stuck in patterns that don't serve their happiness or success.
